A quick survey conducted by Microsoft has unveiled that they might incorporate an ‘Instant On’ function on their latest Windows operating system.
As the name implies, should the ‘Instant On’ feature gets off the ground, this means that you could access applications within your PC ‘instantaneously’ as compared to previous Windows versions where you’ll need to wait for a couple of seconds to wait for it to load.
However, I don’t think that they would be able to apply this feature to all applications – you’ll need to choose which applications are important to you and these applications would have priority using the ‘Instant On’.
This concept is not new – It is already being used on ASUS' Splashtop OS.
